Haley Jacobson

Red Robin Scholar Athlete

Congratulations to Haley Jacobson, a senior at Issaquah High School.  She has been selected as the Red Robin Scholar Athlete of the Month by the Issaquah Booster Club and Red Robin Restaurant!

Issaquah Track Coach, Gwen Robertson, nominated Haley and writes:

"This is Haley's fourth year as a varsity track and field athlete. She is in her second year as team captain.  Haley has shown great leadership over the past two seasons. She encourages and motivates her younger teammates and is willing to step up and say things that need to be said to the entire IHS Track team.

Haley is arguably the best female sprinter to come out of Issaquah High School.  She has captured the school records in the 100m, 200m, 4 x 100 Relay and 4 x 200 Relay. We have records going back to the 70's when girls track and field began at Issaquah High School, and she is at the top of the list in 4 events! Haley has signed with the University of Washington Track and Field Team and will compete for them next year."

In addition to excelling in athletics, Haley has earned a 3.5 grade point average.  Haley also volunteers in the Issaquah community as a mentor in the Athletes for Kids organization.  She volunteers  at the annual Rotary Carnival Day at "Camp Goodtimes,"; a camp on Vashon Island that supports  young cancer patients and their families.

Haley is an exemplary scholar athlete.  Her hard work and dedication have made her a shining example to represent Issaquah High School.  We want to congratulate Haley and wish her the best of luck in the future!
